On October 12, for one of our Youth Night activities, John Koppelman will be leading a "workshop". For it we will be asking the question: "How should we structure the Youth Group leadership?" We'll look at how things are now, then explore how things could be changed to be even more effective in the future. It will take less than an hour, and everyone will get a chance to share their ideas and discuss the possibilities. It would great to get a lot of kids there, so please spread the word and be thinking about your ideas. The "workshop" will begin at the normal meeting time of 5:00. Parents are also invited to come to the Youth Board Meeting on Tuesday October 14th for a similar discussion. The meeting is at 7:00 P.M. at Messiah.

Also, on October 19th, we will be taking the High School and Junior High groups to the corn maze at "The Farm" in Snohomish, then to the Haunted House at the Monroe Fairgrounds. The agenda will be as follows:

3:45 meet at Messiah/leave for Corn Maze
4:45 arrive at Corn Maze
5:45 leave Corn Maze
6:15 arrive in Monroe for Dinner
6:45 leave Dinner for Haunted House
7:15 leave Haunted House
8:00 arrive at back at Messiah

As for costs, Messiah will cover the $6 for the Corn Maze and $13 for the house. The youth will need to bring at least $10 for dinner. We are planning to get something from a fast-food type restaurant, so this should be adequate for the cost of that type of dinner, or also we need to eat somewhere a little less "fast-foodish".
